Term: Periaqueductal gray ventrolateral division

Definition: Beitz (1985). This large division is undoubtely heterogeneous (Keay et al. 1994) and requires further structural characterization. For example, there is a supraoculomotor region ventrally (Herbert and Saper 1992).
