Term: Sympathetic plexuses

Definition: Sympathetic plexuses are mixtures of autonomic ganglion cells, autonomic axons, and often dorsal root ganglion cell fibers as well; they are concentrated around or near the arteries (Swanson, 2004, p. 179).
